ED please HELP (im just not getting it)

2003-10-26 by JD Jerry Davis /Team Bozi Drummer

ED, I want to do exacly what your suggesting!
Add the ride w/bell and still be able to add yet another crash?
**************************
ED (in your words)
"your scenario would now be
input 6
> for bow of Visu-lite, input 9 for the Visu-lite bell and input 10
for
> your crash or china"

AND YOU WROTE:
"I preferred input 6 for the bow, however, because
it has a DIP switch in the back of the module that allows its
sensitivity to be raised, whereas 9/10 does not"

How do I do that?
* Do I need Y adapters? Stereo or Mono?
Wheres this DIP switch on back of my mod for #6?

That sounds perfect though. Bright/Hot Ride=bow <-right? and a bell
too.
Plus I can add another (crash, China, splash) to my mix?

Sounds good can you break it down in exact lay mans terms for me
please. And No, I dont care about choaking any of the crashes.
JUST ALL THE CYMBALS I CAN USE WITH THE "STOCK" Yahmaha DTExpressII

my email (if better than forum?) zmintcard@...
To get this totaly straight Id be willing to call you or
give you my phone #

You will need a "TRS splitter" - a stereo 1/4" jack plug to two mono
1/4" jack sockets. This splits the tip and ring from the stereo
plug, one to the tip of one mono socket and one to the tip of the
other. This allows you to address inputs 9 and 10 separately, one on
each mono jack socket. You then take the existing mono PCY65 cymbal
out of input 6, and plug it into one side of the splitter (on input
10). Then you take the two outputs of the Visulite ride, and plug
the bow into input 6, and the bell into the other half of the
splitter on input 9.

The attenuation DIP switches are on the back of the module, right
next to input 8. You may need to flip the switch for input 6 to the
high position to get the Visulite to trigger cleanly.

This is the splitter you need at Drumbalaya:
