Hi Guys,

I've been away for a while (from this board that is).
Is that dtxport utility downloadable somewhere?
Teh thing is that some of the users kit in teh file section won't
load in my dtxpress I. Are they for the II series.
When Ilook at the files in a text editor the difference is that in
the header of the good files there is a word like DTXLKIT and in the
wrong files there's a word DTXLKIT2.
Is that a difference or is it something else why they don't load.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Bas

Hi Bas

DTXport has not advanced in the last year, from its beta state. There
is a document in the files section giving an overview of what exists
right now.

That said I don't think that DTXport would be able to help you. From
my analysis of the files from the different drum modules the file
format has change a number of times. To the best of my knowledge,
Yamaha have not published the formats. It is necessary to do a lot of
trial and error guessing to successfully read all the data.

BTW there is a check digit at the end of the file and so editing any
part of it with a Hex Editor will most probably render the file
invalid.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
