DTXP III: Sequencer & click track, three zone snare pad trigger settings

DTXP III: Sequencer & click track, three zone snare pad trigger settings

2004-03-03 by bongokonzelmann

As I just bought myself a DTXP III kit I am now starting to explore
its features. Here are two questions that probably easily can be
answered by experienced users:
- Is there any possibility to record just the metronome click to one
of the two tracks of a User Song?
- How can I adjust (separately) the trigger settings for the three
zones of the snare pad?

For any advise I am greatful.

When you have had a chance to play, give us your thoughts on it.
Especially the new cymbal sounds.

Why would you want to do that and waste a track? You can start and
stop the click while replaying or recording any song (user or
otherwise). Just store the tempo with the song, and you'll be all
set. I have a half-dozen songs which are zero length and use no
tracks, but which I just use for rapid selection of tempos for the
click track when practicing.

You can't. There's only one trigger, even in the so-called three-
zone snare. The two rim zones are switches.

Stewart,

thanks for the prompt response.

The reason I am trying to get the click recorded is because of the way
I want to practice with the band. Starting to play a particular song I
´d simply like to start the recorded sequence which offers me a
defined number of bars to "get into it" but becomes silent then.

My question about the three zone snare pad was because I am always
sruggling with the trigger sensitivity of the cross stick section. I
have to hit it quite hard (at least compared to the normal pad space)
to get the cross stick sound. - Any suggestion to improve that?
