I'm no expert, but fwiw: I have this problem all the time. I use MeasureTool with the I1 and find it far from robust. Finally I took the original patch file (I have been using the 51-random file) and expanded the size of each patch, then I read the values clicking on each patch. Bore, but it usually gets a linear read in 2 or 3 tries.
