QTR Create ICC Error Message

QTR Create ICC Error Message

2010-05-20 by na_goodman

Hello all,

After dropping our .txt file on the QTR-Create-ICC droplet, we are receiving an error message as follows: Cannot create ICC profile; LAB values not in order.

We read the 21x4 grayscale target with the EyeOne. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I get that error only when my single 21-step test file shows posterization or has an insufficient (very small) increase in density (lowering of Lab L) from one step to the next.

I don't know if Create ICC supports the multi-sampled random reads. Even if it does, it's probably harder in those to see where the problem is. Try printing and reading a single, in-order, 21-step test file.

I'm no expert, but fwiw:

I have this problem all the time. I use MeasureTool with the I1 and find it far from robust. Finally I took the original patch file (I have been using the 51-random file) and expanded the size of each patch, then I read the values clicking on each patch. Bore, but it usually gets a linear read in 2 or 3 tries.

Experts, what SHOULD I be doing?

Thanks, Paul. We'll try that.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
