I have traditionally used 120 Tmax as my film of choice. However since developing large quantities of film is an occupation I dislike with a passion and my darkroom work has becoming less and less I have recently switched to Ilford XP2. As others have said this film scans very well and I am generally very pleased with the results. But having made the break from developing the film myself I can see some advantages in using a 120 colour film so that I can combine ease of processing with tools like the channel mixer or conversion filters from the likes of Silveroxide or NIK. What 120 colour films, preferably available in 400ASA, would anybody recommend with the eventual aim of producing high quality monochrome prints. How do colour films compare to B&W films when converted to greyscale. thanks Adrian Joyner Clevedon England [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
