RE: [Digital BW] grain reduction

2011-08-28 by E.Neilsen

YEs, Nikon scan does run on Win 7 64 bit. the answer has been posted here, I
posted it on my forum, and if you Google it, I am sure it will pop up. I
installed it NO problem. What developer on your 100 iso film?

I use my Nikon Coolscan 5000 to scan my fomapan 100 film to dng files. Now,
a 100 iso film should have very fine grain but the scans are very grainy. I
use Vuescan on a win 7 machine. I tried the grain reduction but to minor
results. Another scanner? Different scanning software (silverfast?).
Nikonscan is not running on win7 64 bit so that's out of the question. Is
there another solution?
