The slightly larger drop of the 1100 has a minor advantage on the 1400 with dilute Eboni. I think some of the other variables are more important than the minor tone differences, however. The paper is the huge variable with respect to Eboni-6 tone; the drop size differences are minor. So, I would not make a decision just on that. To me, the ease of a single mixed ink is a large variable where one is mixing their own ink batches. I'm happy to pay MIS to mix my Eboni-6, but I have to do the dyes myself. Time is a very scarce resource at the moment. So keeping it as simple as possible with the dyes wins for me. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
