Re: [Digital BW] 1400 cartridge recommendations

I have been using CIS from an ebay company called inkexpress4you. They have a web site so you can order directly through them:
http://www.superjetusa.com/shop/

I have been using them for years starting with my R220 and then my 2200. I also have a R260 unopened with an empty CIS from them as a backup.

The chips reset themselves and I use dye ink. I like and use their ink also. They also carry pigment ink.
Check them out.

Subject: [Digital BW] 1400 cartridge recommendations

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any specific recommendations for refillable cartridges for the Epson SP 1400. I have used cartridges from MIS and the "damper" cartridges with manually resettable chips from InkJetCarts. My experience has been less than wonderful with both.

I found the MIS cartridges frustrating because of frequent nozzle clogs/bubbles and because of problems getting the chips to reset.

The damper cartridges have the advantage of being able to reset all of the chips at once when the cartridges are all full (though even that is a bit erratic). I also seem to have fewer nozzle problems with these. But I have had ongoing problems with ink leaks that lead to blotches on the prints. My sense is that maybe the ink flows a little too easily.

I realize that the actual cartridges sold by these companies can change over time, but I would be grateful for any recommendations for a reliable source.

Thanks much,
David
