I have 2 Epson 1400's (Now a 1430))
One is filled with MIS UT-14 B&W pig inks, and the other is filled with LYSON XG Claria equivalent dyes..NO problems whatsoever for over 3 years..Just buy a set of empty carts from MIS and fill them with what you want to..I had 3 or 4 CFS systems that KILLED printers..Refilling individually is easy, and saves alot of $$$'s..

Subject: [Digital BW] Need new printer
What new model desktop printers that have continuous flow systems (bulk ink) available are you folks currently using? I'm about to take the plunge and replace my Epson 2200 that has been reliably using a Niagara CFS with MIS inks.
I don't need a large printer, 13x19 inches is fine, but I do hate to have to pay Epson's ink prices unless their ink is much better than anything I can get in bulk. I also don't need huge gamut inksets, my images tend to be more subtle and MIS PRO and B&W pigment inks work fine. Also, I prefer matte papers.
If there are good alternatives to a CFS system, I'd like to hear about it, too.
