The instructions you are quoting are for the nonchipped carts.  The 
1270 carts are chipped and thus show full all the time.  I have a CIS 
for both (1160 nonchipped and 1270 chipped) and that is the way it 
works for me.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
