Hi all, My days of printing BO are shrinking like crazy! I bought a new 1430 from Epson, two weeks ago and an EB6 kit from MIS. I kept the original inks and installed the MIS inks. Made some tests to see how I could print BO. I followed a lot of advices from the group and decided to order some Red River paper. In the meantime, I printed on Epson Velvet Fine Art for my tests. I was quite pleased with the results. Receiving my new paper, I followed one member's procedure, print a head pattern first; though luck, two "colors" are blocked. Start a cleaning session, and still, clogged. After three passes, ink level was too low so I refilled all the cartridges always following carefully MIS "How-to". Now I'm playing a toaster round with the printer; it's saying that this is not an original cartridge , so plug, unplug (went trough all of them!) and now, still a bit clogged, I see that it took a lot of ink and I will have to refill again! Is it supposed to work like this? I can see now that MIS's chips are not up-to-par with Epson and these "auto-resetting" chips are not working very well. From someone with a lot of darkened fingers! I would love to go with all the tests needed to be a proficient B&W printer but I'm a bit fed-up with this "ink system". Sorry if it's a bit long. Thanks
