Re: [Digital BW] Epson 1430 and MIS inks

2013-02-22 by Paul Roark

Eb6 dilute inks seldom clog as such. It's usually air in the system. See
if the gaps are always in the same place (probably clog) or change from
test to test (air/foam). Doing too much "cleaning" will actually make
things worse.

One of the things that often works is to just let the system sit overnight.
The foam should rise in the carts, with the ink going down to the outlet.

Of course, if the cart is defective and allowing air to get in around the
seal at the outlet. Nothing may work.

I'm not a fan of auto-reset. The chip information and actual ink level
seem to get out of sync. However, the 1400 carts I have from MIS have
worked fine. They may, of course, have gone to a new supplier.

Needless to say, be sure the tap or plug that blocks the air inlets have
been removed.

Let me know how it goes.

Paul
