Digital BW, The Print

I'm running a 1430, windows 7, Photoshop CS5, and MIS E4+ ink set.  The printer indicated that it needed ink in four positions all at once; Y, B, LC, LM.  I parked the carriage, filled each to the top, bled the bottom, reinstalled and it now says that all four are still empty and of course it will not print.  

As you would expect the folks at Inksupply / MIS are unavailable at this time.  So I have two questions:

Is there any way to make the 1430 ignore the ink levels? Paul says that he ignores them but I don't see how this is possible.

Has anyone found a more responsive supplier than Inksupply for B&W printing?
