You can subtract $1000 from your budget Jerry.  The current price is now
$1995!  I think a price war is about to start between the Canon D60, Nikon
D100, and the new Sigma with the Foeveon chip.  Wouldn't be suprised to see
these cameras going for about $1500 later this year.
