Gosh….there are so many possible choices for further education.

 

One choice that is particularly relevant: On Lynda.com there are three or four short but excellent videos detailing "desaturate" and subsequent work flow in LR and Photoshop CC and earlier versions of PS ( but easily performed via the new CC updates ).  One can subscribe for a month or two, watch the relevant videos, and then let the membership lapse until other new teaching videos are added.  

 

However, are you sure that "desaturate" is the best course to take?  There are now better ways to proceed.

My son teen age has shown an interest in learning how to craft BW prints. He uses Photoshop CC (through school) and the method taught in class is "desaturate."

 

If I wanted to get my son some further education on this topic, I'd appreciate recommendations and guidance in this regard for:

* Books (hard copy)

* Online classes

* ebooks

* website suggestions

* other
