Martin, I've looked into these. The problem is cost - at around 150USD the market around here won't stand the hike. The max i can sell a 10x10" print in Spain for is 500USD, gallery takes half, I pay framing... I am going try the inkjet method though. I have the film on order. They were made using Dan Burkholder's methods and were output on a 3600dpi image setter. There are even higher resolution image setters out there too. There is more info on Dan's site, http://www.danburkholder.com/, under "Book Info" and Faqs. > > He also discusses chromogenic inkjet negs as well. > > Martin Wesley > http://www.borderless-photos.de/guests.html > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Julian Thomas > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 1:31 PM > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Lyson Quad Metamerim problems > > > > > But what I miss is the depht and contrast that the Lyson prints > > has. - A glossy paper with some inks that shows deep blacks > > and prints well at both glossy and matte papers and shows no > > metamerisms.. > > > > Is it possible at all to produce a digital print that beats the > > traditional silverbased print in every way? > > > > Anyone who has some experiences? > Bjorn, you are using a totally different system that is more akin to > platinum than to silver prints.
