No, this wasn't a lighting thing, or a chamelion thing, or a color perception or personal thing. These were pre-filled Epson 9000 cartridges from MIS, and on Museo at least, the images looked decidedly green in *any* light -- low voltage halogen, daylight, ott-lite. Each person who saw the prints said something like "Yuk, those look really green!" I cannot say with certainty what caused this. I assume it was some kind of contamination in the ink, or a bad batch, or whatever. I called MIS and explained the problem. They said "send 'em back," no hassle or push-back whatsoever, and credited my account. By the way, the variable-tone option Bernd notes can't remove a green cast. In terms of L*a*b* coordinates, the variable tone gives you (more or less) +/- b* control, and the green cast is a -a* problem. I had been thinking for some time about blending my own ink set, so after this happened, I went ahead and did it. Initial results are *very* encouraging; I'll post a more complete report when I have more complete results. Richard > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael J.
