Re: [Digital BW] Bright Cube & Piezo ink

2002-05-04 by Steadman Uhlich

I am curious Robert....

Spraying the print after 24 hours....

I take it this is to "coat" the print so that the pigment does not wipe off.

What if you left the print to "cure" for a longer period? Is the problem of smearing alleviated with some more time or is the pigment just sitting on the surface like a dust coating?

What if the print was put behind glass and never touched? Do you think the image would be "permanent" or would the surface somehow change (dusting off of the pigment)?

Sincerely curious,

Steadman

I've posted quit a bit on this recently...check the archives. The best
profile is Epson Premium Photo Glossy. You will need to spray the paper
24hr after you print it. I suggest Krylon 1305 as the spray. Check the
files section for my glossy paper screen file. Semi-Matte has the same
coating as prophoto silk. This is one of the best luster finish papers for
use with Piezo or MIS quad inks.
