The print head is on its way out...make sure you have its replacement ready. What epson would do is a 9:1 distilled water/clear household ammnoia flush with a tygon tube connected to the inkjet inlet. Put a couple of ml through each jet...with gentle syringe pressure. I just had two 1160's die this way in the last couple of weeks...these desktop machines are disposable printers...the flush didn't help...but perhaps they were already too far gone. Both printers had done several thousand prints.
