I don't mind to try anti-virus software again, but I've tried it for
two non-consecutive years, each time not renewing it because it never
found anything. My small, very local ISP has, however, short-stopped
a few infected e-mails on their way to my mailbox. The rest of my
good fortune is, I think, probably due to my not using Microsoft's
Outlook Express (I got Eudora because there's good supplementary
documentation - Adam Engst's VSQ Guide - for it.). Maybe due to my
using a Mac. Whatever, I think I'll probably also replace Microsoft's
Internet Explorer, although I like it well enough, with Opera. But
that's not to say I won't warm up Norton's Anti-Virus software; I
probably should update Norton Utilities anyway, unless there's now
something better for a Mac. I'd be glad for any advice or suggestions
about any of this.
