Adobe RGB (1998) as opposed to sRGB might open up the shadows.

If that is not enough, try a slight modification of the combined RGB curve
or a curve in the transfer function area of the printer driver.

The curves were profiled for Epson Archival Matte.  I'm not sure how the
paper you're using will print.
