All I can say is the old Piezo is much more prone to clogging than MIS 
inks. Hopefully the new inks are better, but that's not my expertise 
right now.

The other comment about the CIS that's worth jotting down is that I 
had a clogged CIS AND printhead. I was able to clear the printhead 
using the Epson inks in a couple of days. But, when I re-installed the 
OLD CIS, the printhead went bad again too. So you can't win. That's 
why I suggested replacing the CIS, but it sounds like you may just not 
put another in. I remember that Piezo carts are a pretty expensive 
proposition though. Good luck in any event..
