I've been looking for any mention of this in the docs but have yet to find
anything.  I guess Epson has to leave a few differentiating features in the
10000 that costs 2x as much.

It may and I don't have an answer yet.  I just received my pictorico sheets
to begin testing.  I can offer that a friend of mine is using her C80 (not
the same I know but still using the color inks to produce her negs) and is
getting great results.  She is a long time platinum printer who's opinion I
trust.

I will let you know how the tests go.
