All the information is there but to correct it in photoshop you need to do a levels command to set b/w points (use auto with 0% clipping) and then change the gamma either using the centre slider in levels or by applying levels and going into curves and fiddling with the midtones. As someone else said it is possible to output gamma corrected 16-bit files from Silverfast. You set this in options somewhere... with a check box...would look it up for you but disk crash has taken out all my apps this week. -- John Brownlow http://www.pinkheadedbug.com
