If you want to emulate one paper on another, that can be done through cross profile emulation proofing, but it only works if the gamut of the proofing paper is as large as or larger than the gamut of the paper being emulated... and generally, in this context, the cheaper papers we would use for quick proofs would have a smaller gamut, not a larger one.
