Martin has put a complete set of MIS VM and VM-S (sepia to neutral) Photoshop Image Adjustment curves, along with a text file with the settings, into a zip file and posted them in two folders: Files > Ink Sets > MIS > MIS Variable Mix, and Files > Ink Sets > MIS > MIS Variable Mix > MIS VM Neutral-Sepia. The Files section is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint/files/ This set of 1290 curves includes one set profiles for EAM and another set for Hahnemuhle PhotoRag. They use the "No Color Adjustment" setting in the driver and will, therefore, work on both the PC and Mac. So, those outside the U.S. now have a full set of curves ready to go for the MIS VM and VM-Sepia inksets and the 1290. The 1290 printer I've been working on -- powered through a voltage converter -- is really a nice machine. The driver has none of the cross-over problems that have plagued the 1280 curves. I was able to use RGB curves that were almost vertical with no resulting artifacts. Very impressive. That said, I'm going to unplug the machine and send it back to MIS. I still prefer my 1160.
