I've never used an F4 so cannot compare it to an F100, but I can say that I love the F100. Its multiple focusing spots make it much more useful than the N90s it replaced. Its primary function for me is capturing my daughter and her friends in mid-air on (and occasionally off) horseback at hunter-jumper horse shows, and it excels in this role. For me, it is just the right tool for that purpose, as well as the usual family functions. It's very quick with my stable of f/2.8 AF lenses, and exposure is just about always smack on. Add an SB-28 flash and you have a very capable image making tool. Cheers, Kip At 9/7/2002 03:46 PM +0000, Roger wrote, in part: >I need a new back up for my F4.
