Have you custom-profiled your 2200? I find the 9600 to be *very* neutral, after proper profiling. There might still be a tad of metamerism left, but it's almost unnoticeable. In my eyes, you have all the equipment you need now to produce quality B/W prints; you just have to settle on one or two papers, profile them well, and then be slow and methodical in your workflow. We'll see in the future what people report about ImagePrint. I trust Andrew's opinion, but there's also part of me that says the endless money pit of "needing more hardware" is over.
