Good question.  I'm not sure.

I'm thinking putting carts of MIS or other cleaning fluid in the printer
might not be a bad idea.  (The MIS cleaning fluid is just its clear base --
no pigments or dye in it at all.)

The CIS lines might also dry out.  Perhaps draining the lines would be a
good idea.  Sealing the CIS cart in a zip lock bag might also help.  Using
CISs that had sat idle is what killed my 1160 head.  So I'd think hard about
how to stop that system from drying out and then throwing chunks of dry ink
into your head when you try to use it next time.
