Re: [Digital BW] Help-non use of printer

Vinny,

Remove the CIS cartridges from the printer and plug the holes with rivets
from MIS or better the custom cartridge plugs from inkjetart
http://www.inkjetart.com/cis/Accessories.html and then wrap some electrical
tape around them and the cartridges to keep everything in place. Install
genuine Epson OEM cartridges in the printer do nozzle checks and nozzle
cleaning until you get good checks. Print out 2 or 3 purge pattern prints.
Turn it off.

When you get back get it running with the Epson carts and do a couple of
purge pages. Then reinstall the CIS.

I just took an Epson 785 that had been stored unused with the Epson carts in
it for 14 months. It took about 10 nozzle cleanings but it is up and
running. It probably would have come up faster if I had bought some new
Epson carts.
