Jerry, I too am using Netscape Comm. 4.79 on a Mac, and that page came up with miniscule totally unreadable text on my screen as well (ViewSonic 17" 1024x768). My solution was to go to Edit->Prefs->Appearance->Fonts and set both Fixed and Variable font settings in "Use My Fonts" to Arial 18 pt. Then I checked the radio button for "use my fonts, over riding page specific fonts". However, this did not work the first time. Had to then check "disable dynamic fonts", reload page, then went back to prefs and selected "use my fonts". Dont know why, but then it worked and i got nice big fonts. There are several ways a web designer can set font sizes in a page. Not all browser/platform combinations interpret these different font "tags" the same way. That is probably why most people, using PC's or IE, did not have the same problem you and I ran into. Did you ever use NS6? I am reluctant to move to NS7, because NS6 was such a nightmarish travesty for both my computer and web designing!!! And, does NS7 have the "Messenger" email component that Communicator has? Probably not, so now we are forced to use a separate email client program. AOL, which bought Netscape, seems to have turned it into complete garbage and now, like Microsoft, will force mediocrity (at best!) down all our throats! Oh oh, now I am in big trouble. Should have kept my damn mouth shut. Time to go back into hiding. dan s.
