There is somthing in this I think I like. A setup with different toners, diluted MIS Archivals or something else from prof. art watercolour..hmmm... (or why not tea as you say - if it worked for this guy and still are there...) No problems with midtones and highlighs - the darker parts not that important. I think it will work!
