RE: [Digital BW] Piezo Inks & Purge Patterns

2002-09-15 by Paul Roark

The yellow-position Piezo/FS ink is light. Maybe someone running Piezo or
FS could print a purge pattern to be put into the files section so that we'd
have a reference. While the ink is light, it should show up clearly when
printing a purge pattern.

(I prefer the old MIS purge patterns that contain a dark cyan bar. MIS
recently changed to a pattern that has a blue bar instead of the cyan bar.
This mixes cyan and magenta, which means that we cannot easily see if those
inks are installed correctly. I have the old ones, which should probably be
posted on the forum along with the patterns that result from the various
inks we use.)

  Subject: [Digital BW] Piezo Inks

Have resently purchased Piezotone WN ink set. Clean heads 20+ times
to clear Epson 1280 color inks. When I print head check the yellow
position is almost non-existent. Made about 10 large prints that look
good but wondering if I'm not missing some of the tonality because of
the very faint yellow position head.
