The yellow ink position should be the lightest ink, and therefore faint, but easily discernible. Also, you should not use the "head clean" cycle to purge old ink. It is better to print images to clear put the old ink. I belive inkjetmall.com has such an image for download, as do inksupply.com and mediastreet.com. Good luck.
