RE: [Digital BW] Eclipse paper

2002-10-04 by Paul Roark

Brighteners do not appear to affect pigment longevity ratings. EAM also has
brighteners. They just eventually burn out and cause the paper to be about
0.02 - 0.03 units more yellow. However, since they start out as bluish, the
papers might actually end up more neutral. When compared side by side,
however, the burned out OB's make the paper look slightly yellow.

  Subject: [Digital BW] Eclipse paper

I was looking at some Eclipse paper based on Jerrys suggestions. The
bright white has whiteners added, the soft white does not. I wonder if the
one with whiteners/brighteners
added would ratchet in down ( in terms of stability) a couple of pegs to
the level of Epson Matte Heavyweight (that paper has whiteners added also).
