Yes, do this to disengage-or I'm able to release my 1280 just by pushing down on the white post that sits up at the bottom middle left of printhead in parked position with power off and unplugged. The 1160 is similar. You don't give enough info to determine what is needed. What ink you use/ whether a CIS/CFS is used, are crucial questions. But you need to get that nozzle clear ASAP if it has run dry (there may just be air in it though). Get some Epson brand new carts in there and try to recover with no more than 3 cleaning cycles followed by a purge pattern printout. If you can clear the pattern you can stop counting minutes and determine whats wrong from there. But those nozzles shouldn't sit dry for many hours..
