Speaking of which, if you use Paul's curves I think they are all 
published still for 1440 dpi. Quite some time ago I got some 
experimental curves from Paul for  standard VM/1280/PC/sRGB conversion 
space/ @2880  dpi and have been having fun with them ever since on 
Eclipse. Long printing times tho<g>.
