You're our grand prize winner! 1. Photograph rusted steel sheets. Or textured wall. Or anything that you like the texture/look. 2. Open your original image. 3. Paste the rusted wall photograph into a new layer on top of the original photo. 4. In the layer modes, choose either OVERLAY, or SCREEN, or SOFTLIGHT, with the layer of the rusted wall. 5. Drop the rusted wall layer back to about 50% opacity. 6. Go down thru the list of layer modes, and look at the effect that each one has on the look. Every single photograph responds radically differently, depending on its content. 7. (For Advanced users: change levels and/or Curves of the rusted wall photo to change the attitude and intensity. Or, erase portions of the rusted wall layer if it messes with the image in a bad way. Or run Gaussian Blur on rusted wall layer if the texture is too sharp, even when opacity is dropped back). -MT
