Re: [Digital BW] Paper feed issues on Epson 1280

2003-01-08 by Sam A. McCandless

Is the mis-fed sheet the only sheet in the printer at the time,
Bruce? Whether the paper is relatively thick or not, I think it feeds
more reliably if there is what Epson calls (in English) a "Loading
Support Sheet" on the bottom of the short stack on which you're going
to print. They supply one with at least some of their paper. But I
often just use a sheet or EAM/EEM or Museo or the thicker Eclipse on
which I've printed a draft. Anything which raises the sheet(s) on
which I want to print seems to work.

You're right, I believe, in thinking the paper setting isn't
implicated. But using the plus/heavy setting does seem to have caused
some "overspray" problems for at least some people. I think I
remember that being reported mostly about the 1280, but I have the
mis-feeding problems on my 1160s as you have on your 1280.
