Digital BW, The Print

Jerry,

 It just makes the tone a little more subtle. It made the adjustments 
to the blacks as opposed to the whites and greys. The purple seemed 
to be held in the blacks instead of the entire tonal range. I wished 
I had more printing background to explain it better.
