RE: [Digital BW] 740 with MIS FS Quad Inks

2003-02-28 by Alan

Yes...i was using XP driver. Have now changed but I still don't get the
option to use Matt Heavyweight Paper? However my prints have improved
with this driver and using the "Photo Paper" paper selection. Thanks
Seth.

I am guessing, but sounds as though you used the XP driver for 740
instead
of installing the Epson driver before the printer. That so??

IF you did, delete the printer, download the latest driver, USB driver
and
monitor from Epson. Follow their installation instructions.

BTW-- if you feel comfortable doing so, delete all 740 references using
REGEDIT.

=I've just taken my first step into B&W printing after absorbing much
=of the info in this newsgroup. Thanks everyone. I'm using Jeff
=Randalls workflow with the curves for the 740 provided in the file
=library. I'm using EAM paper. The only step in the workflow i can't
=replicate is the selection of "Matt Paper - Heavyweight" - it is
=simply not an option in my printer driver (XP). I choose "Photo
=Quality Ink Jet Paper". Is this limiting my results? If so how do I
=change my driver to get this paper option?
