The easiest way is: buy a 1280 and go to Clayton Jones website about Black Only printing http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm Read what he has to say then try Black Only printing using the Epson inks. It really works well with a 1280. later, buy MIS VM inks (www.inksupply.com) download Paul Roark's workflow and curves from the MIS website. Key point: Do you know much about Photoshop? A basic working knowledge is essential to being able to print black & white. Learning to print respectable b&w prints digitally is not hard. Once you printer is set up and you have some comprehension of Photoshop, you should have an acceptable print in an hour. Do I buy a Epson 1280, or a 2200 (and hope a more then duotone inkset comes out in the near future), a 3000 (seems out of the question due to banding problems) or a Canon S9000 (if thats the model supported, in hopes of being able to more easly deal with clogging)? > > Do I buy buy the Piezography software or should I purchase the Image Print RIP?
