Jerry, 
I can´t believe that. 
I have an 1290 with MIS VM inks.  
If I use Paul´s 1280 curves (Mac or PC) the results are awfull.

(Paul, I sent new 21 step prints from all your curves with my print 
exchange picture. Maybe that works better than scanned prints 
via e-mail.)

Or is anybody out there using Paul´s curves on a 1290 with 
success??
