RE: [Digital BW] MIS Ultra Tone Inks

2003-05-07 by Eric Brotman

Daniel

Thanks for responding. Yes I am using the PK black for glossy as MIS
states. I still am getting the solarized effect. Are you getting
good results and if so with what paper? I hear there is a general
consensus that the MIS Ultra Tone Inks are just not up to

the job of printing on glossy and the release of the Ultra Tone Inks was
premature. But MIS does state the inks are in an experimental stage.

Thanks

Eric

According to MIS:

"To print on glossy papers use the PK black. To print on matte paper use
the K black (Eboni). There is no middle ground. The PK loses is Dmax on
matte paper and the Eboni solarizes and may not dry on glossy paper."

Are you using PK or K?
