Digital BW, The Print

Johnny, thanks for the response, Since I don't refill my own cartridges, guess I'll need to get a syringe then a small bottle to temporarily store.Are you using the inidvidual cart. or the refill system. My cart. came direct from MIS already filled. I'm surprised they would have air build up but I'm willing to try anything.

  I use an epson 1280 also, and when I get any banding; it appears to 
  be air bubbles insted of a clogged nozzle. What I do to solve the 
  problem is to tape over all the vent holes on the top of the 
  cartridge and use a 60CC syringe to suck out all the ink and foam 
  that has collected in the chamber. I reuse the ink and foam. The 
  foam is just ink with air in it, which goes away and return to solid 
  ink again. Then i refill the cartridge with ink and leave it sitting 
  overnight. The next day everything works just fine. Try this one 
  time and I think you will be surprised how quickly the banding goes 
  away. If you try to print too soon, you may get pooling on the 
  print; and you may still get pooling if you print at high speed 
  anyway.
