Re: [Digital BW]Epson cartridge MIS black clog won't go away on epson 1280

2003-05-21 by jim hayes

My own problems with MIS pre-filled carts was: I only bought one set,
and one of the inks in the color cart ran out when the counter still
read 1/4 full. After that, I vacuum filled my own virgin carts for
half the price (after buying the syringes, kit, etc) and my only
problem was ink pooling every so often on installation- which I solved
by running three cleaning cycles upon installation of a new cart.

I think I still have a pdf on the cart vacuum filling procedure in the
files section of this list (sorry no pix).

I haven't heard of Alan's technique before, but it sounds like an
combo of the recovery method for CFS carts and the bottom fill method
for carts. Anyway, brilliant idea.

system. My cart. came direct from MIS already filled. I'm surprised
they would have air build up but I'm willing to try anything.
