From what we read from Mr. Roark, this seems to be correct. I've just 
begun using the UT's, with the Roark curves on matte paper, and have 
been happy with the results.

This will not be the case with the Eboni. You will have to have the 
Photo Black to print on gloss or semi-gloss. Perhaps the Universal 
Black may be the one you are thinking about as to being able to print 
on matte, gloss and semi-gloss. A good place to start, would be 
reading the info on the MIS site about which inks are for which 
surfaces. I believe they also reference papers thet Mr. Roark has 
tested with the UT's.
