This will not be the case with the Eboni. You will have to have the Photo Black to print on gloss or semi-gloss. Perhaps the Universal Black may be the one you are thinking about as to being able to print on matte, gloss and semi-gloss. A good place to start, would be reading the info on the MIS site about which inks are for which surfaces. I believe they also reference papers thet Mr. Roark has tested with the UT's. KeithR
