ADVERTISEMENT It was Peter Baumbach, who told me, that there has been a disput whether the studioprint demoCD contains generic profiles or not. Well, he found out, it does. They are hidden in a folder on the CD called: PrintEnvs. This folder stores print environments (in which the profiles are integrated) for several printers. You just have to copy the appropriate environments for your printer and paper to your >studioprint10>ImportPrEnv folder on your HD. After that you can choose from several environments for printing. My first impression: SP is awfully slow on my machine (XP 1600Mhz, 1gig RAM; 7600), even slower than the latest piezo plug in on my 3000 was - if I recall that right. On a b&w print the grey transitions seem to be o.k., but under my non-normative light conditions (tungsten) I see a slight green tint in the 1/4 tones and a slight magenta tint in the 3/4 tones on that first b&w print. Under a magnifying glass the dots are rather colored, much more than on an IP print, maybe this is an explanation for that color tinting. Well, all these findings may not be significant, because I used the "canned" profiles. Thanks to all. Bernd
