I sold my 2000P and got the 2200. As far as b/w printing goes, I was often getting better prints with the 2000P and black ink only. The 2000P prints a bit chunky and the Ansel Adams crowd would snicker, but the blacks are great and more archival than almost anything out there. The 2200 has required so much tinkering with add on software that it is a bit frustrating. Occasionally it delivers a truly wonderful b/w though. The 2000P and black ink only is good for the Robert Frank school with its grainy look. The 2200 is good for those of us who like to bang our heads against the wall.
